The head of laboratory: candidate of historical sciences, associated  professor, department of history and archeology of slavs Ruslan Shyshkin.

                 

 The principal work forms of laboratory:

•  archeological expeditions;

•  preparation of scientific reports and publications;

•  scientific conferences, seminars, colloquiums;

•  lectures and practical classes.

The main direction of researches –the theme "Ethnocultural history of Middle Dnipper stream territory in the first half of the 1-st millennium of A.D.”:

reconstruction of the system of settling, ecology and territory of Chernyakhiv  culture tribes;
study of economy of Prudniprovya tribes;
religious  beliefs of transmitters of Chernyakhiv culture tribes on the basis of burial ceremony materials;
problem of mutual relations of Chernyakhiv and Kyiv cultures;
problem of formation and development of Chernyakhiv and Kyiv cultures and their representatives future development.

 

                 


Department of methods of teaching of history and social-political disciplines

The staff of department conducts 18 courses, among which there are such disciplines as «methods teaching historical and social science disciplines», «History of social studies», «Basis of democracy», «Method of civil education», «Civil education»;
the department is  an all-Ukrainian scientific-practical center  of teaching of history and social and political  disciplines methods;
the department often organize and coordinates international educational projects.

Department of Original and Special Historical Disciplines

The department provides: 
The course of special historical disciplines; 
prepares professionalists on specialization “History and examination of cultural and historical values”; 
created a lot of monographs and train aids, scientific articles;
post-graduate studies and doctoral studies  operates also.

Department of Ethnology 
The head of the department  is a doctor of historical sciences, professor Petro Chernega
The staff of department:
      Reads courses of lectures and conducts practical classes on disciplines: history of the Ukrainian culture, ethnoarcheology,  ethnography of the world nations,  ethnography, ethnology, ethnopedagogies, ethnoeconomy;
      works  in scientific school of Ukrainian nation history in the period of between two world wars and period of Second world war. (The head – Petro Chernega);
      wrote a lot of scientific methodical works, monographs, manuals, a lot of articles about some modern problems of period of between two world wars and the Second world war;
     post-graduate studies and doctoral studies  operates also.

           The staff of department:
      provides preparation of teachers of history and jurisprudence, history and social science, history and regional tourism, history and country studies;

      reads courses of lectures and conducts practical classes on disciplines: history of slavs, and archaeology;
 
      works in scientific school «Political institute and public associations in Ukraine and countries of central eastern Europe in 20-thcentury». (The head – Mykhailo Zhurba );

      created a lot of monographs and train aids, scientific articles;
   
      post-graduate studies and doctoral studies  operate also.

Department of World History
The head of the department: candidate of economic sciences, professor Sergij Osmolovskyi 
    The department of World History:
   provides teaching of complex of professional disciplines of all the directions of world history; 

   read courses: History of the ancient world, History of middle ages, New and Newest history of countries of Europe and America, New and Newest history of countries of Asia and Africa, Cultural centers of the world, Modern political systems of countries of the West and the East;

   researches problems of humanism and spirituality in the process of teaching of history at higher and middle schools;

   created a lot of monographs and train aids, scientific articles.
